  5. SPECIAL NOTICE:
  6.  
  7. WBD31a.ZIP contains redemption rates beginning with May 1993.
  8. Normally, the Department of the Treasury issues rates for a six
  9. month period.  However, due to the change in the guaranteed
  10. minimum interest rate, this current tables were not published with
  11. September or October.  These months redemption values will be
  12. issued at a future date.

  14. What is WINBOND?
  15.  
  16. WINBOND is a Windows application to track and valuate Series EE
  17. savings bonds. The program provides for mulitiple bond files if
  18. desired.  Several viewing options are available to view current
  19. bond values, interest earned and a special option to project bond
  20. values over the next 20 years starting with current actual bond
  21. value.  Department of the Treasury tables are provided.  Sold
  22. bonds are also maintained if desired and interest earned history
  23. can be kept.  Capability to create ASCII report files or printed
  24. reports is provided, and these file can be printed or loaded in a
  25. word processor.

  27. An import function is provided to convert any current bond files to
  28. this programs' format from an ASCII file or report.  Bond redemption
  29. tables are provided as issued by the Department of the Treasury
  30. and these tables are updated every six months (the ability is
  31. provided to maintain these files yourself, if desired).

  33. This is a shareware program and once registered, all future updates
  34. including bond redemption tables can be obtained at no additional
  35. charge.  See Registration in on-line help for more information.
  36. All versions of the program will be upward compatible, meaning that
  37. all bond files created with earlier versions will compatible.

  42. -Option to print reports on your printer.
  43. -A User Options panel has been provided to set the following options:
  44.      Sort field and sequence for reports
  45.      Font selection for printed reports
  46.      Override file name for ASCII reports
  47.  When you run WINBOND for the first time under this release, it will
  48.  create a default WINBOND.USR file, which are the user specified
  49.  options.

  53. INSTALLATION
  54.  
  55. New Installation
  56.  
  57. To install the evaluation version of WINBOND, create a
  58. subdirectory and copy all the included files into this
  59. subdirectory. Copy the file VBRUN200.DLL, distributed separately,
  60. and available for free) to this same subdirectory.

  62. If you have other programs that require VBRUN200.DLL it is
  63. better to put a single copy in the Windows System subdirectory
  64. rather than have duplicates taking-up space on your hard
  65. drive.  GRID.VBX can also be put in this directory.

  67. Upgrade
  68.  
  69. Copy files into your current WINBOND directory.  GRID.VBX does not
  70. have to be copied since it will already exist in your system.

  73. STARTING WINBOND
  74.  
  75. To start WINBOND, you can simply double-click on
  76. WINBOND.EXE from the Windows File Manager, or define a new
  77. program item in the Program Manager. Once started, you can
  78. select HELP from the menu bar and gain access to all information
  79. for this program.

  82. WINBOND is Shareware, and a registration fee of $15.00 is
  83. required if used past the 30-day evaluation period. When payment
  84. is received you will receive a serialization number which you
  85. can enter in the program.  All future upgrades received and
  86. redemption table upgrades will be automatically registered with
  87. this code.  See the Registration section in the on-line help
  88. file for additional information on this subject.

  107. copy valid for 30-days. Any use of WINBOND after the 30-day

  129. Coming in the Future
  130.  
  131. Release 3.2 will be upgraded to to VB 3.0.  This requires that
  132. you will need VBRUN300.DLL.  Keep an eye out for it on your
  133. bulletin board.

  135. Bond Registration information will be available as an option.
  136. (ie. owner name, SSN, etc.).  All current bond files will be
  137. compatible with this option.
